Art-official is an exciting new video venture from Gallerina, showcasing the finest artists in the North-East and beyond.
There are five very different films, profiling James Paterson, Paul Denham, Lou Harris, Craig Davison and now Mark Johnston.
In REVENGE of the NICE we follow a complete painting of James' as we gain a real insight into his influences, techniques and life as a professional artist.
MEMORY of LANDSCAPE tracks Paul and the journey into his paintings. Following him on a walk around Upper Teesdale, we see the inspirations behind his work and what lies beneath the paint.
In A FAIRYTALE in the NORTHEAST Lou takes us back to a time when things were very different. We find out what attracts her to the gritty Northeastern backdrops, and visit some of the actual locations she uses. We also discover some of the wonderful stories behind her artwork.
In il ARTISTA, il VERNICE, il IMMAGINI (The ARTIST, the PAINT & the PICTURE) we travel to Craig's hideout to see him at work and find out more about the artist and his work, all in comic book form.
HANDWRITING takes us to Brighton to see Mark at work in his studio. We also see some of the areas of influence in his work and the activities Mark enjoys when taking time out from painting.
